1 ماه پیشDear dr. Javadpour, the main problem with narration (hekayet) is that it limits our scope of thinking. It is no wonder that the central tradition of our so-called intellectuals has been to lead our minds down ideological paths where our scope was limited. The problem is that we shall fight with two challenges: first, to accommodate to the new way of reasoning and learning the art of reasoning and second is to unlearn those chanks of ideological bullshits that cling to our minds. For instance, consider the ideological concept of Amir Mosaddegh Katouzian: the short-term society (Jameh Kolangi).

1 ماه پیشDear Dr Javadpor, In one of your podcasts, your remarks about speech and "talking" remind me of Nathan. Salmón's works. I hope you will expand on his works since he is a philosopher. I wish you a good health and an endless happiness. Avesta

Let us take Iranian intellectuals in the '60s and '70s, who intended democracy, freedom, etc., and fought for these values but turned to something opposite. I want to examine if there is a correlation between unanticipated consequences of intellectual sociopolitical actions and the three types of intellectual pathways. Thank you so much Avesta

1 ماه پیشDear Dr. Javadpour Do you think there is a correlation between the unintended consequences of the sociopolitical action of Iranian intellectuals in the last century and the type of intellectual tradition they adopted in their purposeful action? What I mean is whether there is a correlation between the unanticipated consequences, as R. K. Merton suggested, and the type of intellectual tradition they adopted: intellectuals in themselves, classless intellectuals, or class-bound intellectuals. I have an intellectual project related to this topic. I hope I will be able to conduct it properly, and I would appreciate your thoughts about it. Thank you so much for your efforts.

1 ماه پیشDear Dr. Javadpour, It was so interesting that you made a connection between ideology and the proximity of concepts in the mind of ordinary individuals. The proximity principle in psychology describes the way relationships are formed between things close to one another. In Gestalt psychology, the proximity principle is one of several Gestalt principles of perceptual organisation and states that people treat objects close together as a group. In social psychology, the proximity principle suggests that people closer together in a physical environment are more likely to form a relationship than those farther away. I highly appreciate your effort in pinpointing this vital concept that was toxic in the way of pure thinking in Iran. Thank you so much and wish you all the best Regards Avesta
